Pacific Blue epoxy pool painting

This was not a matter of rolling paint over an old pool. The existing surface and the pebble surround needed work first — cracks cut out and repaired, gaps sealed, and the failed sections of surround taken back to something solid.

The interior was then finished in a deep blue epoxy. It gives a strong, clean tone without pretending to be anything other than paint, and the deck was coated at the same time so the whole area matched.

Jobs like this are worth comparing painters on, because the finished color is the smallest part. What happens before the tin is opened — the repairs, the cleaning, the etching, the neutralising, the drying — is what decides whether it holds for six years or lifts in eight months.
