Empty, pressure wash and inspect
The water pumped out and the shell washed, so failed paint and damage can be judged properly.
Epoxy coating
The fastest way to upgrade a pool before summer. We empty it, prepare it, repair what the old coating was hiding, and only then paint.

Licensed, insured and family-owned

What we do
Pool Care LA is a concrete pool renovation company. Before any epoxy coating goes on we inspect the pool, prepare the existing surface and deal with the repairs that sit underneath the finished paint.
We do not hand the painting stage to a house painter or an outside subcontractor. Our own team empties the pool, prepares it, completes the quoted concrete and tile repairs, applies the coating and hands over the curing and filling instructions.
The crew
Four of us. The same faces every week, not whoever was free that morning.

This week on the job
Short clips from real visits. Nothing staged, nothing bought from a stock library.
Preparation before paint
Empty and clean, expose the real condition, repair, then coat under weather that suits it.
Pool painting cost in Los Angeles
Our 2026 guide prices. Size, access, coating condition, cracks, rust and tile repairs all move the number, and the figure we quote after seeing the pool is the one that counts.
Honest expectations
Epoxy is a coating over the existing surface, not a new rendered or tiled interior.

Water has no colour of its own — the interior gives it one.

Choosing a painter, cost, coats, weather, curing and the state of an older painted pool.
Not necessarily. Painting looks like a rolling job, so some painters advertise it without much experience of concrete pools, immersed coatings, rust, cracks, failed tiles or surface moisture. Ask how they identify an incompatible coating, how they find the source of rust rather than covering the stain, what weather window they need, how many coats are included and who will actually do the work. Clear, practical answers are worth more than a promise that everything is included.
Our concrete pool painting starts from about $3,500 plus sales tax, and an average-sized pool is commonly around $4,800 plus tax. Larger pools, or pools needing extensive removal, repair and preparation, run roughly $6,500 to $9,500 plus tax. Those are our guide prices; we quote the job after seeing the pool.
Two coats are the standard application. A third can be quoted as an optional extra and may extend the useful life of the coating, provided the recoat timing and conditions suit it.
We inspect and quote all year, but painting needs a settled run of warm, dry weather. In Los Angeles that usually means from August or spring through to around mid-April. We look for several rain-free days and suitable temperatures before committing to coating dates.
Normally at least seven days before filling. It can feel dry within hours, but touch-dry is not the same as ready for continuous immersion, and cooler conditions need longer. Follow the written instruction supplied for your own project.
No. We prepare and repair as thoroughly as the quoted scope allows, but epoxy stays a thin coating over the existing surface. Pitting, old undulations, previous repairs and recurring pinholes can remain visible, and are usually much less noticeable once the pool is filled.

Wide shots of the pool and close-ups of flaking paint, cracks, rust or damaged tiles help, but calling is enough.
